this band is Weezer... check out their mtv with the muppets.. friggin hilarious...
Due to an insane schedule this whole week, only now, i am bloggin about an equally insane event which happened last week. Sunday 150804.. approx 1130hrs... my 1st time playing in front of stangers, in a strange land (namely, upper Thompson). Joel, Joash, and Desmond were with me all the way, Andrea and Rebecca on the day itself, the day of reckoning. If any of you are reading this, Thank You all!! You guys were great!!!
So you think you have it all figured out, well figure some more, cos anything that can happen, will happen, and it did happen.
- D-day minus 1. Saturday 140804. Army made me run 13km. Then i haulled my gear down to the place for recon and practice.
- the drums had no cymbals! AAAHHH!!! nvm... problem rectified courtesy of joel draggin down joash's own cymbals.
- we spent 2 whole hours on soundchecks (watdahell?), moving amps all over the place for better sound quality... nvm... practcice into the night, then haul my gear home
- D-day. Sunday 150804. Arrive early for last practice...too early, the place is still locked.
- more amps come in for singers Andrea n Rebecca = more soundchecks *bleah*
- we're in place, the seats are fillin fast, 20mins till the show begins...MY GUITAR STRING SNAPS!! AAHHH!! no spare strings!! AAAAAHHHHH!!<>
- <>Rebecca brought a spare semi-acoustic guitar. The strap has to be tied with a string... no string... use snapped guitar string...
<>- <>the guitar is tiny... too tiny... like it was meant for elves, not LOTR elves, Santa's elves.
- <>Can't take it... use acoustic string to re-string my electric guitar....all the tuning goes weird.
- Emcee is taking the stage...do a double quicktime haphazard tuning. *sweat*
- toilet break. Joash's hp rings impatiently, scares the piss outta us....literally. Ran like hell.......... false alarm, Emcee still talkin. *bleah*
- we get introduced as the band "Superseed" ...mildy irritated...i stole Superseed's 2 best players fair n square, oh well....
- We take the stage, the music starts, the tuning gets corrected, all goes smooth from here on. *wheeeew*
Final conclusion: wonderful experience, next time come prepared for ANYTHING!!
