+ Poor Singaporeans +
The poor Singaporean Guy... he goes around with a brand on his forehead which reads "boring and unromantic"... his only crime was to be registered as being Singaporean and male at birth. He would love a Singaporean gal... but she's kinda busy... she prefers to work in a prestigous company getting raises and promotions every couple 'o' years until she's 50... then she can brag/complain about hitting some glass ceiling... Poor Singaporean Guy... he has to treat Singaporean Girl with chivalry and equality... everybody repeat after me: "mutually exclusive goals"... Poor Singaporean Girl... she would like a Singaporean guy to stand up for her... but she's afraid her friends would call her a doormat... her friends are actually afraid her calling them that too... But neither she nor her friends would ever do that... they are friends after all... they do however, make it a point to call other gals that... Poor Singaporean Guy... he's afraid that if he marries a girl smarter than himself, she may look down on him... the princess always marries the prince... not the street-rat... will the princess ever love the "ordinary" guy?... Poor Singaporean Girl... she's afraid that the better educated she gets... the more Singaporean guys will be scared of her... but they are not scared of her... they are scared of being seen by her as an inferior... aren't we all? Poor Singaporean Guy... if he finds a girl who loves him from Vietnam, he gets a new brand: "too lousy to get a Singaporean girl"... Many years ago, men in many parliaments around the world gave women equality... but Singaporean girls want to be more equal than Vietnamese girls...irony, irony... repeat after me: "racism, elitism"... Poor Singaporean Girl... she faces stiff competition from Vietnamese girl... She's really afraid cos she thinks all Vietnamese girls are doormats and proud of it... Poor Singaporean guy... he's afraid that Singaporean girls are too demanding... but Singaporean girls aren't all like that... they just wanna live comfortably, and would kinda like Singaporean guy to foot the bill... Singaporean guy thinks that if he refuses to pay for something Singaporean Girl likes, she'd accuse him of not loving her enough... but she won't do that, would she? Poor Singaporean Girl... she wants to be a swinging single, but by 60 its kinda hard to get on the swing without kids to help her along... cos by then her friends will be 60 too... Poor Singaporean Govt. ... they would prefer more Singaporeans fill job vacancies... but the birth rate is falling so they have to attract foreigners... meanwhile Singaporean Guy n Singaporean Girl blame each other for the falling birth rate... at least they are half right, cos it takes both a guy and a girl to make babies.... Alas the govt. still wants to be stingy over maternal/paternal leave.... so much pride and prejudice... dude, where is the love? *sings* God rest ye merry gentlemen, let nothing u dismay...*raises wine glass*
