+ Disappointment +
Despite how much i say will be my last academic year at NUS. It still bugs me to get anything lower than a B. I've finished 2 papers and the next 2 are on Monday. By the way things things are shaping up... several of my assignments have already severely bugged me. Shit. By right it shouldn't matter anymore... just graduate with merit already. but damn, personal pride la. failure to meet my own expectations and shit. oh well. old habits die hard. I gotta remember that there is more to life than grades. BUT... its kinda hard when its a major conversation-starter-topic around here... Fark-kit-la No wonder some people call me a bad influence... I wonder how i will approach next sem... aim to pass? aim to meet my expectations? see results first then plan... gotta hasten back to study. Cheers *raises glass of chicken essence*

+ Exams or no exams... +
This is interesting... i've somehow come back here again even though i'm supposed to be on hiatus... anyway the exams are back and frankly, i dont feel a thing... its such a drag. another sem, another exam. by dec5 it'll all be over. dec3 i've got 2 papers. and the worst part is.... it's my friggin birthday! woooo! happy birthday to meee! i sooooo love the gift i prepared for myself when i applied for those modules in august. sheesh... i realize i dont really work towards exams. they seem to be just irritating hindrances that get in the way of me doing bigger things. cant wait to get my degree. no offense to the NUS peeps. I love u all. I love the uni life. I just know it cant last forever and i need to be thinking of the next stage. I've got a pretty good idea of what i'd like to do for a living, but before that, I wanna try my hand at short films. Maybe get a couple of competitions under my belt. But yeah... big ideas, but once again... exams are in the way, and by default... i should at least try my best. even tales of love and loss will have to take a back seat for now. Cheers. *raises wine glass* random fact of the day: There is a small town in Sri Lanka actually called Punani http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punani%2C_Sri_Lanka

+ the pragmatist in me +
highly provocative rethink of grand strategy in progress... feeling so weird... this was sooo unpredicted ANYWAY... apart from my cryptic sputterings, today's test on the Dynamics of Interpersonal Effectiveness was sooo bullshit... i swear i dont regret not studying for it. and i had a great McDonalds breakfast to boot. Cheers Marcus! *raises wine glass* |
