+ Christmas Eve with abrasions and cheese +
perhaps u can call it a late post, but when i wrote it, i was pissed... deeply pissed. So pissed that i didn't wanna post it, cos it seemed so happy n fake. Mainly because i was gg thru a rough time and there was nothing and no one to blame. Thats life, shit happens, spontenously. I had been pissed since the end of Nov till Dec 31. The worst thing i could have done was to take it out on every one else, but the hardest part was over once i cleared the Anglican Youth Camp. Kept a smile the whole time, maybe only Melvin knew i was bothered by certain things outside. What these things were im not really interested to discuss with the whole world, but between friends we can still talk about em... So lookin back 2 months later, i believe God was keepin me busy to help me recover myself. I typed the entry with "busy-ness" as my main theme, but i was still not finished being pissed. So i just saved the damn thing n left it. Daily question: Where's my head at? Guess i could post this now that i've found it. _______________________________________________________________________ This was without question, the busiest december i have ever had. 1-3 Dec: Preprations for my birthday BBQ, William introduces me to network marketing, i politely tell him my holidays are strictly for my enjoyment. (workload status: light) 4 Dec: Church inda morn. After lunch i buy enuf food n drink to feed an army, then head down to the east coast chalet to get the BBQ going. Night signalled the reunion with me long lost buddies from primary n secondary school, whilst fraternising with newer friends from NUS. Surprisingly, im most close to my JC buddies, and most of them couldn't make it. Being born in Dec is kinda bummer cos everyone's packin off to overseas adventures. (workload status: moderately xiong) 5-8 Dec: wake up in a daze, check outta chalet, pack up new luggage for "Strangers No More" Anglican Youth Camp. Head down to St Andrews Village, my new residence for the next few days. At first i thought i'll just be there to be in charge of icebreakers, then they dropped a bomb last week sayin we'll be group leaders too. Cool, means i'll try not to mention "hangover" for 1 entire day. My efforts at emceeing over the icebreakers whilst fighting a headache pays off, im a hit with the pastors and teenagers at the same time! Yup, im still not feelin 21. I thought this camp would be full of Cheenak people who speak the Queen's English with the eloquence of headless chickens, and i was already preparing to kill Melvin for talkin me into it. But as fate would have it, i got a pretty happening group, and it was a pretty happening camp. As my usual method for lightening the mood is to make witty (or lame) verbal abuse, it was only natural that a certain loud KC girl named Gwen would bear the brunt of my aggression for the next 4 days. (Sorry Gwen!) (workload status: heavy) 9 Dec: Camp was over yesterday, yet im out shoppin with my camp group at Bugis. Semi-official group name: Crabbies Fall asleep in a cafe with Wei Xin, before ordering anything. HAHAHA! i take neo-prints for the first time in my life. And it had to be wif 9 other peeps vying for space in one machine. (Experience: Traumatic) 10 Dec: Fever. I miss Eugene's wedding dinner (which frens say got quite eventful). Looks like me body is already tellin me to slow things down a notch. 11 Dec: Church, rest onda sabbath. Thank God. 12 Dec: Rehearsal for Christmas musical. 13 Dec: East coast cycling with the Crabbies. 2 of our roller-bladers were scratched silly (note to all beginners: pls wear guards). YEC meeting with Vicar. 14 Dec: Rehearsal. Supper at Holland V. 15 Dec: Distribute flyers for CCIS. Played pool at Monstercue. 16 Dec: Full dress rehearsal. 17 Dec: Celebrated my Mom's b'day in the afternoon. Then...Christmas Musical! I played 4 roles! With only 1 costume! I had to wear it differently for each role! Ever-loyal Crabbies like Gwen, Fidelis, Wei Hao, Joel, TG showed up in support. 18 Dec: Church. i have now seen the church bunch "The Synthesis" for 8 days in a row. Shattering all previous records. 19 Dec: Morning cycle with Nicole to Changi Airport and back. William shows me his company products. I politely tell him i won't be joining either as distributor or customer. (i've worked in telemarketing, i am now immune to all hard-sell tactics) William and colleagues are shocked at my stubborness and apparent dream to become a history lecturer. SHEESH... ITS POSSIBLE RIGHT? 20 Dec: Cycling with "The Synthesis", then long long walk to Big Splash for canoe rental. Canoeing was fun until i tried the single seater (for the first time in my life, yeah). Damn thing is as unstable as Marilyn Manson. Capsize. Now specs are at the bottom of the sea. I've been marked with my first abrasions since leaving the army. Tailbone area... yeah ok... its near my BUTT. Happy now?! hahahaha! Supper at Swensens. 21 Dec: shoppin for new specs. Move family computers for upgrading. 22 Dec: Drawing, YEC meeting, bring computers back. 23 Dec: Help Mom shift office equipment. Watch William get a promotion. Support our choir in CCIS. Synthesis supper at Billy Bombers. All-Star Burger! Cheese n milkshake galore! Late night movie... we finish at 4.30am, in time to see tml's papers being delivered... once again we have shattered all previous records. _____________________________________________________________________ So how did i get over it? Guess God showed me my life was here, and life must go on. I remembered my prioritites and my joys. We are blessed more than we can imagine. Dec 31 i spent the entire night with the COGS bunch, camping over at church. We can't forget the past, but we sure as hell can ignore it. There's more important things to do. Cheers! *raises wine glass*

+ Where have all the singles gone? +
Its so cool that Eddie got married, to his 1st girlfriend some more, first and last... hahahha! Was at his wedding at St Andrew's Cathedral on Saturday. What a pretty church these dudes have, fairy tale wedding eh? After the refreshments, i went off to play DOTA again for the first time in months. Melvin, Jianhao n Benny came along, couldn't help but wonder if they'll be LAN gaming today, reciting vows tomorrow... Seems so far yet frighteningly close. One by one i've seen the "Old Guard" of the now de-funct Nissi Fellowship tying the knot. Fuyan, Yunxian, Ming Hui, Meng Heng, Samuel, Eugene, and now Eddie. Now im comin close to seeing my 1st full year as committee treasurer in the newly-formed Synthesis Youths. Passed my 21st Birthday in Dec, big thankx to all u wonderful ppl who showed up, and bought me such cool stuff! Here's a fact: im currently using every single pesent u guys n gals bought me, every last one. i thank God for letting me have all of u as frens! Funny incident: i gave Joshua an invitation to my 21st B'day in the usual envelope style, i jokingly said it was a wedding invitation, AND HE BELIEVED ME, for those few seconds until he noticed my mouth agape in stunned incomprehension. no, i refuse to tink im old, many dudes would kill to be 21 again. i was at Phoebe's 21st B'day on friday, shocking to think im older than her by a mere 5-6 weeks. hahahha! tick-tok-tick-tok we're all getting older, even as i write this n u read this. Oh well, big deal, there's still a life to lead. And today is the first day of the new semester. Was watchin "Wallace n Gromit" with Theody, Calvin n Evelyn on saturday nite, so cool to see those damn Madagascar Penguins again! Come to think of it, im the oldest of the lot, but thats ok, there are always the seniors in uni reminding me that this life of madness is far from over. hahahahah! How can i express the things im feeling? Maybe its more difficult for a guy. Luckily im an artist plus a former lit student so i can always fall back on one of me fav songs from an ever-growing mp3 collection. I met you before the fall of Rome and I begged you to let me take you home You were wrong, I was right You said goodbye, I said goodnight It's all been done It's all been done It's all been done before I knew you before the west was won and I heard you say the past was much more fun You go your way, I go mine but I'll see you next time It's all been done It's all been done It's all been done before And if I put my fingers here, and if I say "I love you, dear" And if I play the same three chords, Will you just yawn and say It's all been done It's all been done It's all been done before Alone and bored on a 30th century night. Will I see you on the price is right? Will I cry? Will I smile? As you run down the aisle. It's all been done It's all been done It's all been done before - Bare Naked Ladies - "Its All Been Done"

+ The Killer Joke +
Man.... i can't believe it.. i forgot the "Killer Joke" of the year it had me laughing for roughly 20 mins STRAIGHT. Cheeks hurt, kidneys hurt, even had to make a run for it in public to survive. couldn't talk, could hardly walk, the mere mention of the word threw me into fits. worst part was, im most to blame for it. I think joel n joash didn't bring it up for months cos they feared for my mental health. So without further ado... here it is.... MUTABARUKA! Cheer! u dun get it do u? *raises wine glass*
+ Taking stock... no, not chicken stock +
After a brief scan thru my blog entries of the previous year, i realise that i blog more often when im feelin down... humor is my way of facing realities, and disguising my sorrows. They say the funniest jokes come from looking at real life. Im not sayin i need to be consoled every time u see a new post... hahhaha... i will probably need some help if i cant get a joke life throws at me. When life offers you a lemon, laugh at it maniacally because it vaguely resembles an old yellow shrivelled-up turd. So as i look back on the year... i'll list all the private jokes we've shared. Some have been rendered timeless, some have been forgotten, all have been shared with those i love, frens n family. So if ur n outsider, everything here might seem like utter gibberish. Spawn of Satan wants a "Pony" brand T-shirt Dolph dreams of tugging the beard of a bearded lady before he dies Jason is married to church Marcus is married to hall Malaysian wants to sign-on U dig the hot moms "pasty" "B2k" "Big K" "Burning the bridges" U cant have your cake and eat it too Drama Mama History lect= FM time U saw the crack of doom, and lived Possum? All street cred is officially gone. U need anger management "Dontcha wish your girlfriend was HOT like me?" Janice actually knows how to act cute Isabel has her own SI unit Paris Hilton U guys support a team of non-striking strikers the only player ever with stats: Passing 0, he doesn't understand the concept "Shake your peaches" "My humps" "i didn't see a single fruits basket anywhere!" Club of Tears U dig the minahs Worst B'day Song to Sing Wei Xuan..... Milkshake.... Malmsteen! YEAH!!!! BTI Buy eddie shampoo "Owning!" 6 into 1... "By your powers combined" top 10 COGS hits "are u feelin me brudder?" PA crew wire winding challenge 2005 *sings* "WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK!!" Pigu wet his pants Yuhua books them early Gwen puts air-raid sirens out of business Fidelis is terrified of Adidas deodorant WX has been spotted takin neo-prints Alleged gay partners: me, "Bobby", Clement, Leon (im tryin to steal). Hot chick 1 shot kill 10 Hot chick no.2, 1 shot kill 9 Hikari is bound by special contract to Joshua's mom "Orange big big, orange small small" -Orange Lover's fav song "Stock rocks! Stock rocks!" Isaac the incoherent Shawn is Doremon U write only the finest, most nonsensical MTV commercials Shermaine the un-suan-able Power of Darkness, Speed of Black El iano, ian thorpe, ian cech, stud muffin, DJ, Mambo Boss, Balls Cheers! its a funny, beautiful life! *raises wine glass* PS: if u r not linked to the any of the forementioned jokes, it means i haven't known u well enuf to suan u. |
