+ Blast off +
1. Franz Ferdinand conert, post concert party 3 cheers for the Scottish rockers! I've finally attended an international band concert! Hell, i've watched gigs and concerts, but this was by far the biggest. Fabian (not Yeo) put me up to this, but then again, a $48 price tag proved irresistable. True to form, the band delivered the hits. 2 albums might seem a small portfolio, but hey, people want quality stuff nowadays, otherwise they're just gonna download your best song and piss on your album. The mosh pit was full and shuddered with exuberance. The lower tier seaters decided to stand up and jam the aisles, walkways and stairs. Being upper tier seaters, we figured no one was going to notice if we decided to squeeze along with them to get a better view. hahaha. Pretty soon an anal retentive usher goes around prodding people as if his big flashlight makes him god or somethin. hahahha...wait... ew.... Anyway, his futile attempt at restoring order was irritating to say the least. Eventually we occupied the $68 seats left vacant by eager beaver fans in the lower tier. Now we were truly getting the bang for our buck. Muahahahha! All this despite the usher finding out we were in fact upper tier $48 seaters, like undercastes. Solitary gripe: where was the encore? Left Fabian and his buddies at Coffeebean after getting freshened up. Made a quick bus changeover, throw on a shirt and ,voala, I'm at zouk getting my senses nuked with Samantha. Free party tix do work wonders, i barely got her number the day before. Loads of western ( i mean ang moh, not Boon Lay) guys n gals, they really know how to party, a near empty dance floor didn't intimidate them as much as it did the locals. Either that or they just got drunk before we did. The post concert party even got a pretty good Emcee to keep everyone entertained. Franz Ferdinand dropped by around 1am and were immediately mobbed. I almost pity them, you can't even have a decent night out once you're that famous. 2. refurbished layout. I am soooo happy that my search for the perfect beach pic is finally over! The sand even slops to the gradient of my links! This was like finding a gem in a sea of shit. My blog is near perfect now! WHHHEEEE! 3. Digging thru my collection of handphone pics i discovered 2 entirely unconnected but nonetheless silly photos which i had previously failed to blog about. The award for best band name with matching album name 10 points goes to whoever can tell me why Alvin is emergening from the jungle still so happy. 4. sucess in seeing the ministry of sound and the new zouk Ok i've finally checked out both MOS and the renovated Zouk. One more new year's resolution down. A new been there done that. The Lego man is gettin jiggy wit it. 4. Rant of the day you'll be surprised at how many dimwits get into uni. e As I glance once upon the foam 40 feet beneath my feet The coldest calm falls through the molten veins Cooling all the blood to slush Congeals around again la la la oh and 40 feet remain Salt scales upon my drying arms Burn my back beneath the sun I am cold beneath the burning haze Looking down looking down Down, down again la la la oh and 40 feet remain Franz Ferdinand - "40 feet"
