+ Don't Ask me about Batman +
Whoever asks me if i had seen Batman Begins is gonna get the same enigmatic answer... i've watched half of it... "Why half?" Thumps the predictable response... so i tell them "cos Plaza Singapura burned down". Yes, i was caught in the horrendous PS fire of 2005... the worst diaster since the Hotel New World collapse. A once tranquil shopping centre was transformed into a heaving mass of humanity in the throngs of absolute panic. Smoke and flames engulfed the premises... everyone in cinema 4 burned to death... including the rush of heartlanders who immediately ran into the cinema, checking the bodies of the dead for lucky NRIC numbers to be used for 4D. I had to save the women and children first... so tough luck for the guys... personal tally is 46 women and 0 children... my greatest regret is not being able to save more women... damn... People were jumping out of windows rather than be scorched to death... the lucky ones hit fat, pampered, maid-beating "little emperors"...and survived with bumps and scratches... Oh well, better them than the industrious commoner. Strange how people are not born heroes but have the situation thrust upon them. Ask me about the video, only for those with a strong stomach. Chaos and frightful scenes of desolation evrywhere... there were even a couple of twins who were rushed out halfway thru a hair-dye job! O the humanity! Fortunately i was able to get a refund on Batman Begins a few hours later at the ticketing booth. Cheers! *raises wine glass, surrounded by 46 fawning women*
